Geelong Chamber turns 170!

What a magical night we had celebrating our 170th birthday! Thank you to the 450+ people who attended the event Thursday night at The Pier Geelong.

Nikki and Norm from Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation kicked it off with a beautiful Welcome to Country and we also heard from Libby Coker MP, Federal Member for Corangamite, who gave a wonderful speech on some of the Chamber’s history and from her days as a journalist in Geelong.

Thank you to Ryan Chamley and the team at Milk Video for capturing our 170-year history in video that was played on the night.

Thank you to Warick and the team at Times News Group for the work they did on the 16-page lift out celebrating the history of the Chamber that guests were given a sneak peek at before it was published.

Thank you to Brandon and Ben at Torcht Productions for not only producing the wonderful event sponsor videos but capturing footage from this event.

Thank you to Andy Pobjoy from Piano Bar Geelong for providing our entertainment.

Thank you to past presidents, Norm Lyons and Kylie Warne and current president John Stekelenburg for a panel discussion on some of the challenges Geelong Chamber has faced over the years and how it has overcome them.

Thank you to GES for providing the AV for the night.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the event sponsors. Massive thank you to Bendigo Bank, DeakinTALENT, Fagg’s Mitre 10, Godfrey Hirst, Harwood Andrews, Patrick Rowan & Associates, Prestige Jayco, Preston Rowe Patterson, The Gordon, Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative, and Xtreme Technology along with John & Mary Stekelenburg.
