To mark International Women’s Day, you’re invited to join the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and the Geelong Chamber of Commerce for the launch of the Pay Equality Toolkit, an essential resource for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) to achieve pay equality in their workplace.
The toolkit equips business owners and leaders with a suite of tailored and action-oriented resources adapted to the unique issues facing SMEs. The toolkit includes a Pay Equality Compass to help you assess the strengths and opportunities for your business, a sample equal pay policy, a model for handling complaints, and other practical tools to meet your legal obligations, improve staff satisfaction and become an employer of choice.
Date: Wednesday 6 March
Time: 5.30pm-7.30pm
Venue: Truffleduck
Hear from Ro Allen, Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commissioner, Jeremy Crawford, Chief Executive Officer of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, Ruth Holdaway CEO Geelong Mums, Mark Neeld CEO Geelong United Basketball, and members of the small business community sharing their first-hand reflections on how committing to gender pay equality can help build a better business.
The Commission is grateful to Industrial Relations Victoria for funding this project.
