This course explores what diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) really mean—and why they matter. You’ll gain insight into different forms of discrimination, uncover unconscious bias, and challenge assumptions. Learn how to recognise barriers, value diverse perspectives, and take meaningful action to support a more inclusive culture.

This course comprises of 5 modules of learning, followed by the completion of a 5 week goal and final assessment.
- Module 1 – Context and Introduction – what is diversity, equity and inclusion and why it is important
- Module 2 – Diversity, equity and inclusion deep dive part 1 – The impact of stereotypes and bias across various groups, including racial discrimination, sexual discrimination and intersectionality
- Module 3 – Diversity, equity and inclusion deep dive part 2 – The impact of stereotypes and bias across various groups, including disability discrimination, weight discrimination, age discrimination, religious discrimination and discrimination in the workplace
- Module 4 – Fostering inclusivity and belonging – the challenges of changing social dynamics, reducing prejudice, health and wellbeing, advocacy and courageous conversations
- Module 5 – Revisit key signposts and bring to life some of the activities
This course is for individuals at any level within organisations will benefit from undertaking the Ignite series of short courses which will provide knowledge and tools to build a strong foundation for growing personal effectiveness and capability to lead oneself.
The Ignite series of courses will support your individual growth and transformation. Starting from inside out, you will gain knowledge and tools to identify the areas that are serving you the most right now and will continue to do so in the future, as well as the areas that may be holding you back and could become even more important and relevant in the future. These courses which range from building personal accountability, growing your emotional intelligence, communication skills, growing your influence and impact and more will help you start the journey of magnifying, strengthening, and leveraging your own individual strengths and experiences, whilst finding strategies and ways to deal with the areas that may be causing friction or resistance. Practising self-leadership as directed by course activities will provide stepping stones to move into supporting and leading others, setting the scene to help you move into roles where you can lead others.
For early career employees, the courses will build the foundation on a blank canvas while for those in the workforce and even leaders, the Ignite courses will challenge you to look at where you can grow and improve while getting clear on your strengths that you can bank on.
