Evolve – Building Team Capability – Critical Thinking

This course comprises of 5 modules of learning, followed by the completion of a 5 week goal and final assessment.

• Module 1 – Foundations of Critical Thinking in Teams – fostering understanding, beyond technical excellence, understanding the impact of team culture, introduction to critical thinking principles, recognising biases and assumptions and introduction to the RED critical thinking framework
• Module 2 – Problem Identification and Definition – Techniques for Identifying Complex problems, distinguishing symptoms from underlying issues and understanding the RED critical thinking framework
• Module 3 – Analytical Tools and Frameworks – using SWOT and PESTLE analyses within a team, decision making models and their applications within teams, leveraging team mind mapping for comprehensive analysis and integrating the RED critical thinking framework into a workplace scenario
• Module 4 – Case studies in Strategic Decision Making – real-world case studies on successful strategic decisions, decision making processes in complex situations, understanding and applying the 8D Problem-Solving Method.
• Module 5 – Collaborative Problem Solving – techniques for fostering team collaboration, implementing brainstorming and ideation sessions, enhancing critical thinking and problem solving

This course is suited to emerging leaders and mid-level managers/functional leaders who practice self-leadership can go straight into the Evolve series of courses or can choose to start with an Ignite course that will provide the base to move into the corresponding next level Evolve course. For instance, Personal Accountability (Ignite series) lays the foundation to progress to Accountability as a Leader (Evolve series).

The Evolve series of courses will help you leverage your strengths to move into critically evaluating the environment you are in and develop strategies to create optimum conditions for strong team performance to not only exist but thrive. You will learn to truly empower others and build individual and team accountability to achieve the results you want to. The Evolve courses focus on giving you the knowledge and skills to effectively lead others, influencing teams to move together cohesively to achieve joint results.
