Geelong Chamber Board elects new Chair and Deputy Chair

The Geelong Chamber of Commerce Board is pleased to announce the election of Dr. John Stekelenburg as Chair and Catherine Middlemiss as Deputy Chair for three years in a meeting of Elected Directors today.

John will replace outgoing Chair Mark Edmonds following the conclusion of his term in accordance with the Chamber of Commerce Constitution. 

The Geelong Chamber of Commerce would like to thank and congratulate Mark Edmonds on nine years of exemplary service and his commitment to the success and growth of our members.

We look forward to Mark staying involved in our mentoring program and participating in all our events this year.

Dr. John Stekelenburg is a local medical practitioner who has served a term as Deputy Chair of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce prior to being elected Chair. John has previously served as Chair of Barwon Health and President of the Geelong Club. John also has extensive volunteer experience on local and international community and sporting committees.

Catherine Middlemiss is Director of Development, Marketing and Communications at Sacred Heart College. Catherine has been Chairperson of Signature Charity Foundation and a Director with the Costa Foundation. A Director with the Chamber of Commerce for the past 2.5 years, Catherine is also a member of the Chamber’s Governance and Risk Committee.
