Recently the Chamber hosted a highly innovative virtual event in partnership with Geelong Employment Facilitator to provide a ‘speed style’ interview experience to existing Jobactive job seekers living in the suburbs of Corio and Norlane. The response from business leaders across Geelong was humbling as CEOs, managers, team leaders and business owners gave their time to lift the confidence of these jobseekers, provide genuine feedback on presentation skills and providing unique opportunity to make connections with some of Geelong’s business leaders. It's inspiring to see that the business community recognises its obligation to build our broader community. Sometimes we believe this is a distinct Geelong trait.
