With extensive contacts within the industry, I build business and partner relationships, along with raising a profile for the Trust in networking within the Geelong community and support our corporate sales for all major events.

My background is tourism marketing, venue management, and sales and marketing in the spa and wellness industry. I love golf, stand-up paddle boarding, yoga and tennis.

Susie Thomas

Arcare Aged Care
Regional Client Service Manager

I have had the pleasure of being a member of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce for the past four years and this is my third year as a Member Ambassador. A role I very much enjoy. My career focus has been in health and hospitals and late last year I ventured into Aged Care. A career highlight was being part of the Executive team at Epworth Geelong for three years while we commissioned and opened the hospital. I have a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) with distinction, MBA and Certificate IV Training and Assessment. I have a number of other volunteer roles including being part of the Bellarine Agricultural Show committee and the Gumboot steward! Together with my daughter Issy (Deakin Uni Nurse/Midwifery student) we co ordinate the gum toss at the show each year as well as judge the decorated gumboots. Another passion outside of work is being part of Josh Buckingham Racing’s pit crew – Formula 500 race cars. Josh is the reigning National Champion in the sport; currently Australia 1 so its been a very exciting year of racing and a privilege to be part of his race team. Another role that I enjoy that often surprises many!
