Geelong Small Business Festival is back for 2025!

The City of Greater Geelong will be delivering the 15th Geelong Small Business Festival in partnership with the Geelong Chamber of Commerce.

Aspiring and established entrepreneurs across the region are invited to explore an exciting lineup of events at the 2025 Geelong Small Business Festival, designed to connect, inspire and grow local businesses.

From Monday 4 to Friday 15 August, this flagship festival celebrates local business, innovation and entrepreneurship with over 70 free or low-cost events at Wurriki Nyal, Torquay and online, with several satellite events across Greater Geelong.

  • Melbourne Innovation Centre: Lead Generation and Converting Customers
    Learn how to compel your customers to take action at various stages of their buying journey, fostering deeper engagement and loyalty.
  • Piccadilly Market: Insider Secrets to Market Success
    Learn how to design a captivating stall that draws customers in, master the art of showcasing your products, understand pricing strategies, build customer relationships, and strategically leverage marketing and social media to amplify your reach.
  • Sustainability Victoria: Getting started in the circular economy
    In this fun, interactive workshop you will gain an understanding of the circular economy, and the global and local drivers that are shaping the future of business around the world.
  • Enterprise Monkey: AI for Business Leaders: A Practical Roadmap to Getting Started
    Get AI insights and a practical roadmap to start with AI in a way that’s simple, strategic, and aligned with real business goals.

Greater Geelong Mayor Stretch Kontelj OAM said local businesses accounted for around 97 per cent of businesses in the region. “The Geelong Small Business Festival provides significant value for local businesses,” Mayor Kontelj said. The festival has become a cornerstone for business owners and community members seeking inspiration, networking and practical tools for success.”

Geelong Chamber of Commerce CEO Jeremy Crawford said Geelong Small Business Festival events connect businesses to thousands of others. ‘We have an outstanding program this year and I highly encourage local businesses to get involved.”

Maree Herath, Harvest Talent Recruitment & People Solutions, said she’s had the pleasure of hosting Geelong Small Business Festival events since the festival’s inception. “For the Geelong small business community, The Geelong Small Business Festival is an opportunity to really immerse yourself in two weeks of significant learning on areas that span the whole business ecosystem,” Herath said.
