Come down for a Corporate Volunteering Day at Encompass Community Services – The Paddock!
When: Friday, 11th of November from 10am to 2pm
Location: Encompass – The Paddock, 21-29 Ohalloran Rd, Leopold VIC 3224
This is a great opportunity to work alongside people with a disability and celebrate diversity in our community. You’ll walk away feeling pumped and appreciative of the role you play as business leaders in the understanding the contribution people with a disability make in our community and the role businesses can play in ensuring an inclusive work environment.
About The Paddock
The Paddock is a 7 acre farm that provides a fantastic opportunity for people of all abilities and backgrounds to explore new experiences and learn new skills.
The Paddock is a leader in social and therapeutic horticulture; promoting a ‘paddock to plate’ lifestyle, passionately implementing sustainable living practices in daily life as all produce at the farm is grown spray-free using organic principles and sustainable food production practices.
The Paddock grows and supplies seedlings to local farmers; as well as supply seasonal produce to local cafes/restaurants.
The nursery is open to the public but also provides commercial propagation to several farms in the region.
What to expect
During our Corporate Volunteering Day at The Paddock there will be a range of activities for us to do with our members, from weeding the orchard, to helping in the nursery. The Paddock team can tailor the activities to suit varying fitness and mobility levels.
Lunch will be provided.
Please note, that we are taking up to 2 bookings per business for the day.
All of your help will have a direct impact and support an accessible and inclusive space for skills development and community skill-sharing whilst facilitating training & job opportunities.
What to bring
All you will need to bring is sturdy footwear, weather appropriate clothing for the day and of course a love to get your hands dirty.
