Dear Members,
October has been a month of high engagement, strong connections, and renewed energy across our business community. It’s been fantastic to see so many members leaning into opportunities to learn, collaborate, and strengthen their organisations.
A key highlight was our immersive StratFit session run by the amazing Robine Stephenson. Strategy only creates impact when it moves beyond planning and becomes embedded in the day-to-day rhythm of a business. This workshop gave members a practical, hands-on framework to get real traction, helping leaders align teams, sharpen focus, and drive measurable results. We are committed to offering more interactive, capability-building sessions like this to support your growth.
Our October Connect, proudly sponsored by CommBank, also brought members together for a timely economic update and an important reminder of the power of relationships. In a constantly shifting environment, access to trusted insights and genuine networks is one of the greatest assets a business can have. These moments of connection are where opportunities start.
We also celebrated the Geelong Business Excellence Awards, one of our region’s most important platforms for recognising and elevating business achievement. Three major highlights stood out for me:
- Raising the bar on excellence – The Awards encourage businesses to reflect, improve, and showcase best practice, driving higher performance standards across the region.
- Strengthening visibility and credibility – Finalists and winners gain significant profile, opening doors to new customers, partnerships, and investment.
- Celebrating community spirit and leadership – The event brings together businesses of all sizes to acknowledge success, share inspiration, and build pride in our collective achievements.
As we head toward the final months of the year, our commitment remains strong: to provide experiences that educate, inspire, and connect, and to ensure Geelong continues to thrive as a dynamic business community.
Thank you for your ongoing support and for being part of a network that never stops striving for growth.
