For the family of a SIDS victim, the unexplained nature of the death is beyond heartbreaking. The unanswered questions exacerbate and prolong the grief. River's Gift was established in November 2011 by two devastated, yet focused and determined parents who were searching for answers surrounding the death of their healthy 4 month old son, River Jak Adam. It has now developed into a global movement, with thousands of supporters across the globe and the formation of a dedicated research partnership between Harvard University, The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health and Adelaide University. River's Gift is committed to one day finding a cure for SIDS. River's Gift has raised just over a quarter of a million dollars and pledges to raise a minimum of $500,000 per year going forward for SIDS research and awareness.
