Our front yard is the magnificent Geelong waterfront. Situated in a quiet residential area we are only a gentle 15 minute stroll to Geelong's CBD. We are excited to announce a significant redevelopment of the hotel located at 13-15 The Esplanade Geelong.
Our goal is to build a fully integrated hotel featuring guest rooms and amenities expected of a 4.5 star hotel in the evolving Greater Geelong accommodation sector.
As Geelong’s longest established waterfront accommodation business, Quality Hotel Bayside Geelong continues to evolve since opening its doors in 1962. Commencing life as the Hamilton Hume Motor Inn the motel offered 26 room motel and restaurant. A further ten guest rooms, a seminar room and a pool were added to the site a decade later. In the mid 2000’s the property increased to 68 rooms.
Once the current redevelopment is completed the property will offer 110 guest rooms and apartments.
This will be accomplished by demolishing 38 rooms, many from the original build and building 80 new rooms.
Once complete, the hotel will offer a variety of room types. These will include one and two bedroom self-contained apartments many with bay views, Studio apartments, Bay & City view suites and Superior King rooms. The hotel will also provide an industry leading number of accessible rooms to enhance our inclusive travel offer. All guest rooms will be stunningly finished, featuring cutting edge technology.
Complementing the accommodation will be two restaurants and bars providing guests and Geelong residents with casual and contemporary dining options.
Other on site facilities will include multiple function, conference and event spaces, a fitness centre, sauna and indoor lap pool.
The property will also feature secure underground parking for 78 vehicles with multiple EV charging stations.
Scheduled completion of the project is November 2025.
