New OHS Law Briefings
Businesses must be ready to meet new obligations and responsibilities from 1 January 2012 when Australia- wide harmonised Work Health and Safety legislation commences, replacing existing OHS acts. Business owners, senior management and employees will all have increased roles in ensuring that workplaces are safe. Penalties are set to increase, with serious breaches resulting in criminal charges and fines of up to $3 million. There is much to do before the new year arrives. To help Victorian businesses adapt to the upcoming OHS changes, VECCI will be providing a series of briefings aimed at clearly explaining the new laws. Non compliance with new OHS laws could hit hard. Put your business in safe hands. VECCI briefings are a cost-effective way to help ensure your business is prepared, proactive and fighting fit.

- The VECCI ten-point plan for transition to the new legislation.
- Information on the consultation, cooperation and coordination requirements of a ´person conducting a business or undertaking’ (PCBU).
